It turns out that the archive section is actually only one person, Assad, and the whole job is to get through 2-3 files a day and put them back on the shelf. But Morck takes a closer look at the case of Merete Lynggaard, succesful politician, that disappeared 10 years ago while traveling onboard of a ferry full of passengers. Against the demands of his superiors Morck re-opens the case and reviews all the evidence. He doesn’t yet realize that Merete is actually alive and kept in captivity.
