Memento 2000 mystery movie

Running time: 110 minutes

Language: English

Leonard, who suffers from condition that doesn’t allow him to make new memories, uses Polaroid photos and notes to remember whatever he can from what is going on right now, because in few minutes his problems with short-term memory will erase everything. Leonard has a single purpose in everything he does - he wants to find and kill a man named Johny G., who in past raped and killed Leonard’s wife and with that put Leonard in the condition he is right now. Sitting in a motel room Leonard is convinced he finally found the missing element in his puzzle...

Unusual mystery movie on many levels, but the most important part is that the whole story we see from the Leonard’s point of view as flashes of his memory span, but also in non-linear fashion. The plot starts from the point when Leonard finds the killer of his wife and then we trace back all the events that led to that point. And those two elements makes this movie a masterpiece among mystery movies - we know only what Leonard learns at that point, but can’t be sure what it means in the storyline. One of the best mystery movies in history.
