Running time: 105 minutes
Language: French
In the picturesque surroundings of a French village, a British couple with their young daughter make a stop on the roadside and plan to spend the night there. In the middle of the night a shot rang out and in the morning Gustave Dominici, a farmer leaving nearby, finds the whole family dead near their car. When the police arrive, they find very little clues on what was the reason behind the murder, not to mention who might have wanted them dead. But the gruff and uncooperative behaviour of 75-years-old Gaston Dominici gathers the attention of the officers, and soon he becomes their prime suspect. On the surface, they have nothing to link him to the crime, apart from the fact that it took place close to his farm. But as the case creates more and more speculations in the media, the police are anxious to close it quickly, so they start to poke around the Dominici family. Until one day, they find a witness...
The film presents the Dominici case and the mysterious murder of Sir Jack Drummond, the well-known British biochemist, who was shot while on the holidays in France. The Dominici Affair is almost documentary in style and presents all the aspects behind the trial which gathered the international recognition.
