Former British Prime Minister Adam Lang hires a new ghostwriter to complete his memoirs. He has to replace the previous writer, Mike McAra, who unfortunately died in an accident during work over the book. But new ghostwriter becomes more and more suspicious about the accident theory and starts the investigation that will take him deep into past of Adam Lang.
Mystery movie with strong political motives - former politician, his energetic wife and their mysterious past plus gloomy atmosphere of secluded island and very good cast. The Ghost Writer has everything there is needed for great thriller, yet the movie has its ups and downs and to put it nicely could have been better.
