Third attack

Paul Martin, 16, and Betty Jo Booker, 15 were killed on 14 April 1946 while he was taking Betty Jo to a slumber party across the town. Paul’s body was found lying on its left side by the road, he was shot four times. Blood was found further down on the other side of the road by a fence.

Betty Jo’s body was found two miles away, lying on its back, fully clothed with a buttoned overcoat and her right hand was in the pocket. Betty was shot twice. The weapon used was the same as that of the first double murder, a .32 automatic Colt pistol. The reports if Betty was raped are hart to verify. Paul’s car was found about three miles away from her body and 1.5 miles away from his body.
