Investigation 1997 Polish mystery film review
Inspector Gregory of Scotland Yard starts the investigation in a highly mysterious case - at first it seemed that someone was moving a dead body in a secluded morgue in a small town called Englender, which was classified as a morbid joke. But then similar reports about from other places, far from each other, put their first theory to the test. In each of the new reports, the incident took place in a secluded place, which again makes Gregory doubt if it is a serious matter. But in one of those cases, a policeman, who was left at the morgue door to guard them, ran away from his post and was found dead with a terrified expression on his face. This leads the investigators to the only possible explanation, and that explanation is at the same time the only impossible solution - that the dead bodies were actually coming back to life for some time after their demise. Gregory starts to seek help from eccentric Doctor Sciss, but also suspects Sciss himself of having something to do with the paranormal events.
Gloomy and dark TV movie, based on a short story by the legendary Stanislaw Lem. This is one of the best mystery movies ever - the tension and spooky atmosphere are creeping upon you with each scene. Brilliant, but not a well-known masterpiece from a famous author.
