Lake Herman Road attack
The first murders attributed to the Zodiac Killer were the shootings of high school students Betty Lou Jensen and David Faraday on 20 December 1968. While they were on the date in the remote Lake Herman Road, well known lovers’ lane, some other car pulled next to them. It is believed that the killer ordered the couple to step out of the car and when Faraday was halfway out, the killer shot him in the head. Jensen was gunned down with 5 shots in the back while she was running away from the car.
