Bigfoot sightings

Albert Ostman story

In 1924, Albert Ostman, a Canadian prospector, went on a trip to Toba Inlet, British Columbia. According to his story as he laid asleep in the wilderness a Sasquatch supposedly picked him up and carried him off while he was still in his sleeping bag. The creature carried him for about 3 hours and dropped him on a plateau. Ostman saw a family of 4 Sasquatches around him - 3 adult and one child.

He was kept captive by the Sasquatch family for 6 days. One of the Bigfoots was, according to Ostman, about 8 feet tall. Ostman did not use his gun on them as they had done him no harm. Ostman ate "sweet tasting grass" that they gave him. According to Ostman the female Sasquatch washed and stacked leaves. Albert escaped by making the large male Sasquatch groggy by feeding him some snuff. He did not tell his story for over 24 years after it happened fearing he people would think he is insane. As more Bigfoot stories appeared in the media Albert decided to tell his story to a local newspaper in 1957.

Most people treat Ostman story as obvious hoax, especially since he waited so long to tell it to anyone, but Ostman himself was cross-examined by the police, he signed a Solemn Declaration indicating that his account of the Sasquatch story was true under oath and by virtue of the Canadian Evidence Act. So far no one could prove his story to be a lie.
