World Trade Center controlled demolition
One of the most discussed theories around 9/11 attacks is the theory that World Trade Center towers didn’t collapse due to damage done by the planes, but due to planned in advance demolition of the buildings. According to that theory the explosives were placed in the construction of the towers prior to attacks and after they were hit by planes it was decided that it is better to destroy them and claim the insurance.
Facts that are supporting the theory:
- owners of World Trade Center did received large compensation,
- tower number 7 collapsed even though it wasn’t hit by a plane,
- it isn’t common practice that concrete buildings collapse due to fire,
- if there were any irregularities in the construction of those concrete buildings that would make them vulnerable to the fire it would be convenient to destroy the buildings for insurance money and get rid of evidence at the same time,
Facts that oppose the theory:
- using explosives to collapse the building when there are people inside would not be just insurance fraud, it would be murder, so whoever would have the power to choose the moment to collapse the towers would rather wait until the people would leave (like in tower 7),
- even controlled explosions leave the traces of explosives used that might be detected,
- high temperature might have caused the steel elements of construction to lose their durability.
