After being part of the political intrigue, former MI5 high-level officer Johnny Worricker, leaves Britain and moves to Turks & Caicos, where he hopes to hide away from his previous life. But soon his past catches up with him when he meets an American, who seems to remember him. Worricker tries to gather any information about the American or his friends, but is unable to, so he assumes he could be with the CIA. Worricker contacts his former girlfriend, who still works in intelligence, to gather some information. Soon she discovers the foundation called The Bridge, that seems to be again linked to the British Prime Minister.
The film is the sequel to Page Eight, a 2011 political thriller about agent Johnny Worricker. Moving the setting from rainy and dark England to the sunny islands of Turks and Caicos also changed the whole undertone of the story. While the first movie of the trilogy was intriguing, this one seems chilled-out, with a very slow and seemingly insignificant plot that leads almost nowhere.
