Rita Gorgonova case
Investigation
Police gathered the evidence, including:
- dog has been stunned by the blow to the head (probably using the pickaxe),
- Stas, who was waken by the howl of the hurt dog saw a figure in the living room when he was going into his sister’s room,
- Elzbietahad a pillow lying on her head, she had several wounds to the head, she has be deflowered (probably after death and probably using a finger),
- the window in Elzbieta’s room was open, but there was no sign of forced entry,
- in Elzbeita’s room there was no sign of snow or melted snow that the perpetrator would left if he would came from outside the house,
- next to the door in Elzbieta’s room there was small amount of faeces and three small bloodstains,
- there were footprints in the snow (probably by somebody in the slippers) that lead from front veranda (next to Gorgonova room) to the small veranda in the back of the house, to the cellar and to the pond,
- glass in the door of the small veranda was broken, there were small bloodstains on the wall next to the small veranda and next to door to the cellar,
- in the cellar a handkerchief with bloodstains was found,
- pickaxe found in the pond behind the house, but there were no signs of blood on it (gardner used this pickaxe to broke the ice on the pond),
- Gorgonova was wearing white nightgown, a fur coat and slippers, the fur coat had small stains of faeces in the back, nightgown was clean, but the slippers were wet and had some dark stains on them,
- there were no footprints leading from outside the house or away from the house.
