High Rock event

The 1966 event

On 16 June 1966 four youngsters living locally decided to spend the night at the top of High Rock to see if any of the stories about the place being haunted were truth. They actually prepared quite well for the trip - they have read the a lot of literature about spiritist and familiarized themselves with any tips on calling spirits, they have prepared the equipment to spend the night there and since they lived locally they knew the area well. They chose a unique spot for their experiment - on the top mountain there was a white stone surrounded by a circle of smaller stones, forming a kind of altar. The forest around that place seemed dark and mysterious, so it seemed like a perfect place to meet the ghost.

Exactly at midnight they started their session hoping to invoke the spirit that was haunting the place. The boys followed all the rules they have read about, but nothing was happening. After they decided to end the ceremony suddenly everything around them fell dead silent - the wind stopped, the fireplace dimmed and then went out. When it all went dark, they heard footsteps nearby. Mysterious creature began to run in the dark around the camp and they could hear the breaking of branches. Boys shine their flashlights, trying to see the intruder. When it turned out that they could not see it in horror they rushed to escape. They ran down the hill, toward the nearest village. When they reached the Laskowka they realized that two of them did not make is and obviously were still somewhere in the forest. Rescued two were battered, bruised and terrified, so villagers immediately called the police.

Can you solve a case like this?

High Rock event comments

It sounds completely like an urban legend. As I was reading I was thinking exactly what is written here: What are the names of the boys? Was there a police report? What happened to the families of the boys? NONE of that is reported, for some odd reason. I recall another urban legend years ago that several students at the University of Chicago had followed the instructions in the Bible to build a new Ark of the Covenant, but it turned out to be "too powerful" and so they destroyed it. Yeah RIGHT! The names of the students should have been easily verified, as well as the class that they were building this "New Ark of the Covenant" yet NOTHING ever came up to verify it.
